# Stripe payouts

> Connect Stripe and receive registration revenue.

Time2Bike uses **Stripe Connect** for every paid registration and merch order. You connect Stripe once and Stripe handles cards, payouts, refunds, and tax forms directly with your business.

## Connect your Stripe account

1. Open **Settings → Billing**.
2. Click **Connect Stripe**.
3. Complete Stripe's onboarding (business info, bank account, identity verification).
4. You return to Time2Bike connected and ready to publish paid events.

If your account is not fully verified, Stripe may hold payouts until you finish onboarding. Use **Open Stripe dashboard** to revisit your onboarding flow.

## After connecting

* **Open Stripe dashboard** opens your Stripe Express dashboard in a new tab for payouts, statements, and tax docs.
* Every paid registration becomes a charge on your connected account.
* Refunds are issued by Time2Bike against the original charge — see [Refunds](/organizers/pricing/refunds).
* A small platform service fee is added on top of every rider's order (it's listed as **Service fee** on the rider's receipt) and does not come out of your payout.

You can publish **free** events without connecting Stripe. The connect step is only required once you charge for anything.
