# Teams (riders' clubs)

> How rider teams relate to your organization.

**Teams** and **organizations** are different concepts on Time2Bike:

* An **organization** is your workspace as an event host (the thing you're in right now).
* A **team** is a racing club a rider belongs to.

They're stored separately and don't share permissions. A rider on Team Coldwater can race events run by any organization; their team affiliation just shows up alongside their name in start lists and results.

## What you can do with teams as an organizer

* **See team affiliations** on the **Registrations** and **Bibs** pages — each row shows the rider's current team (if any).
* **Sort and filter** by team — useful for posting team standings or distributing podium prizes.
* **Pull team-based reports** from race results when an event has team scoring enabled.

## Team scoring on a race

To score a race by team:

1. Open the race under **Event → Races**.
2. Toggle **Team scoring** on the race settings.
3. Pick the scoring rule (e.g. "top 3 finishers per team count").

Results pages will then show both the individual finishing order and the team standings.
