# Races list

> Every race inside an event.

The **Races** tab on an event shows every race (a.k.a. category group) you've created. Each race has its own registration window, pricing, waivers, capacity, and results.

## Create a race

1. Click **New race** in the header.
2. Fill in:
   * **Name** — e.g. "Cat 1 Men".
   * **Format** — `mass_start`, `time_trial`, `downhill_single`, `enduro_stages`, `dual_slalom_bracket`, `short_track`, or `other`.
   * **Capacity** — max registrants. Leave blank for unlimited.
   * **Categories** — comma-separated category labels (e.g. "Cat 1, Cat 2"). At least one is required.
   * **Gender restriction** — `open`, `male`, or `female`.
   * **Team relay** — toggle on for relay races (lets riders register as a team).
3. **Save**.

## What each card shows

* Race name, format, and registration status (`open`, `closed`, `closed by cutoff`).
* Categories with current registered counts.
* Capacity fill bar.
* Total revenue from this race.

Click a card to open the **Race overview**.
