# Settings

> Name, visibility, join policy, codes, branding, and deleting a team.

The **Settings** tab is admin-only. Everything on it saves with the **Save
changes** button at the bottom, except the join codes and league affiliation,
which act immediately.

> !!-IMAGE-NEEDED-!! — The team **Settings** page, scrolled to show Basic info and Visibility & joining.

## Basic info

| Field         | Notes                                                                                   |
| ------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Name**      | Shown everywhere.                                                                       |
| **Website** | Optional, linked from your public page. |
| **Short bio** | Up to 280 characters. Shown on your public page and to anyone redeeming your join code. |

## Visibility & joining

**Visibility** — who can see the team:

| Option       | Effect                  |
| ------------ | ----------------------- |
| **Public**   | Listed and discoverable |
| **Unlisted** | Reachable by link only |
| **Private**  | Members only            |

**Join policy** — how people get on the roster:

| Option                   | Effect                                                                                   |
| ------------------------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Invite only** | Only via an invite you send |
| **Application required** | Anyone can apply; an admin decides. Puts an **Apply to join** button on your public page |
| **Open** | Anyone can join instantly |

<Note>
  The join code works **regardless of join policy** — holding the code *is* the
  invitation. An invite-only team can still hand out a code at practice.
</Note>

## Join code and staff join code

Two separate codes, each with its own card:

* **Join code** — your rider code. Generate it, copy it, copy the share link,
  choose what role it grants, disable it, or rotate it.
* **Staff join code** — for coaches and managers, off until you turn it on.

Full detail in [Invites & join codes](/teams/invites-and-codes).

## League affiliation

Shows whether your team races under a governing body, and hands off to the
**League** tab to join one or manage it. Most teams never touch this.

## Branding

* **Logo** — square image works best.
* **Banner** — wide image, around 1600×400.

Both are used on your public page, in the team management header, and on the
team card in your teams list.

## Danger zone

**Delete team** soft-deletes the team. Members lose access immediately. You're
asked for an optional reason.

<Warning>
  There's no self-service undo. If you delete a team by mistake, contact
  support rather than recreating it — a recreated team starts with an empty
  roster and no practice history.
</Warning>
