The Results tab is the coach’s clipboard. It replaces the paper version: one grid, athletes down the side, practices across the top. Available to coaches, managers, team admins, and owners.

Reading the grid

  • Rows are your roster athletes.
  • Columns are activities — one per activity per practice, labelled with the activity name and the date.
  • Cells are that athlete’s time in that activity. A blank cell means they weren’t timed, which is usually the attendance answer you were after.
  • Trend on the right shows whether an athlete is getting faster or slower.
Practices are grouped by week, newest first, and each week collapses. (Practices group by month on the Practices tab and by week here — comparing times is a different job from finding a date.)

Controls

There’s a filter bar across the top for narrowing the athletes and activities in view. A median row gives you the group’s time for each activity, which is what you actually compare an athlete against when setting a target for the next session. With Group by gender on, the comparison is within each group. Click an athlete to open their history — every practice they’ve been timed at, so you can see the shape of their season rather than one bad Tuesday.

Where the times come from

Practice times come from live timing, not from published results — practices are never published, so the live-timing rows are the only source. This means:
  • Times appear as soon as they’re recorded at the timer.
  • You don’t have to finalize or publish anything for the clipboard to fill in.
  • Nothing here is public, ever.

Seasons

Click New season, give it a name and a start date (and an optional end date), then tag practices to it from the Practices tab. The clipboard and the practice list both filter by season.
Create the season before your first practice of the year. Tagging practices as you go is a two-second job; tagging forty of them in April is not.
