!!-IMAGE-NEEDED-!! — The Teams page at /teams with two or three team cards.
Team, organization, league — which is which?
These three words get mixed up constantly. They’re separate things and they never share permissions.
A rider on a team registers for events run by an organization. The team travels
with them — it shows next to their name on start lists and results — but the
organization can’t edit the team, and the team can’t edit the event.
You do not need an organization to run a team. Practices, rosters, and
timing all work on a team by itself.
The two kinds of “role”
A team has two role systems, and they answer different questions. This is the single most confusing thing about teams, so it’s worth thirty seconds.Team role
Owner · Admin · MemberWho can change the team — edit settings, send invites, approve
applications, edit the public page.
Roster role
Athlete · Coach · ManagerWhat someone does on the team — race, run practices, handle paperwork.
This is what the league prices dues from.
