Being on a team doesn’t change how you enter a race — it changes what shows up next to your name in the results.

The rider picks their team at registration

This is the part people expect to be more complicated than it is. The team shown next to a rider’s name is chosen by that rider during registration, on every entry. It’s not assigned by the organizer, and it isn’t locked to anything. That means it can be:
  • A Time2Bike club you’re a member of.
  • A college or high-school program.
  • A shop, a sponsor, or whoever pays your entries.
  • Nothing — a personal entry.
Riders on a Time2Bike team get theirs filled in automatically from their profile’s default. Everyone else types a name in a free-text field. Both end up in the same place: next to the rider’s name in the start list and the results.
Nothing about the free-text version requires a team to exist on Time2Bike. A rider can type “Cascade Cycling” whether or not there’s a Cascade Cycling club here. Being on a real team just saves them the typing and unlocks everything else in this section — rosters, practices, bulk registration.

Racing under your team

Riders pick their team during registration, on the participant row for each race: Racing for Coldwater Composite. The easiest way to make that automatic is a default team.

Open the rider's profile

Find the Race Team card

It only appears if that rider belongs to at least one team.

Pick the default

Choose a team, or Personal entry (no team shown).
From then on, that team is applied automatically every time they register, and it’s shown next to their name in results. You can still remove it for a one-off personal entry during any single registration.

Riders not on a Time2Bike team

Anyone can type a free-text team, club, or sponsor name during registration — that’s the + Add team / club / sponsor name link on the participant row. It’s stored on that one registration and shown in results. Sponsored riders use it to credit whoever pays their entry.

Registering several members at once

Team owners and admins can put multiple riders into one race and pay in a single checkout.

Make sure members have consented

On the roster, each member has a Consent toggle for admin registration. Members and their parents control it. See Roster & roles.

Open the team and click Bulk register team

It’s on the team Overview, under Race together. Or go straight to /teams/[teamId]/register.

Continue to checkout

You land in the normal registration flow with everyone pre-filled and the team already attached. Review per-member pricing and waivers, then pay once.
Relay races aren’t available for bulk registration — only individual-format races are listed. Relay teams are built inside the registration flow itself and are a different thing from your club team.

What organizers see

Organizers running the event see each rider’s team affiliation alongside their name in registrations, start lists, and results. They can’t edit your team, and your team can’t edit their event. See Teams, from an organizer’s side.
