The things that actually go wrong
I typed the wrong bib

Delete that finish, then record the correct bib. The rider’s real time is
the moment the button was pressed, so re-recording immediately gives them a
slightly late time — use Set manual time if the difference matters.

Keep recording finishes. They’ll sit as awaiting start. Then use Set the start time under the start buttons and type the time the
race actually went. Every elapsed time fills itself in from that moment —
including finishes you recorded before you got round to it.This works because finishes are recorded as real moments in time, not as
“time since start”. Pressing START RACE instead would put the gun at
now, which is after those riders crossed the line, so their times can’t be
worked out — the rows stay flagged until a start that precedes them exists.Works the same wherever a start lives: the race gun on a standard race with
no waves, a wave that nobody released (see Waves),
and every race’s gun on the combined-finish start board.
Start was pressed late
Start was pressed late
Use Correct the start time and type when the gun really went. Every
finish already recorded is re-timed against it, and the screen tells you how
many that is before you confirm.Don’t use RESTART RACE for this — that’s for firing a start you didn’t
mean to fire, and it invalidates the finishes recorded against the old clock.

The row is flagged as a duplicate with both times shown. Open the row,
pick the one you want to keep, delete the other. Neither is discarded until
you choose.
Finishes went into the wrong race

Switch to the correct race tab first so nothing else lands in the wrong
place. Then delete the misplaced finishes and re-record them under the right
tab.

Find the rider in Registered riders and use Set manual time with
whatever you have — a hand time, a photo timestamp, the time from another
volunteer’s phone.
A rider needs a lap discarded
A rider needs a lap discarded
For lap racing, an admin can void one lap — after a mechanical, a crash, or
a penalty — without removing the rider from the race. Their lap count and
best lap recalculate, and a note is added so the reason is visible later.

you’d already published.
Manual times
When you type a time by hand, enter it as elapsed time —mm:ss or
mm:ss.SSS — not a clock time. Time2Bike works out the finish moment from the
race start.
