Many organizers run events with volunteers — course marshals, aid stations, registration desk. Time2Bike has a built-in signup so you can claim a shift and (often) earn a reward toward a future registration.

Find a shift

There are two entry points:
  • The event page at time2.bike/events/[slug] — look for Volunteer in the actions row.
  • The direct URL time2.bike/events/[slug]/volunteer.
Each event lists one or more volunteer efforts (e.g. “Race-day course marshals”). Pick one to see open shifts.

1

Pick a shift

Each shift shows the role, time window, and how many spots are left. Full shifts are marked Full and can’t be selected.
2

Enter your info

Name, email, and phone. If you’re logged in, these prefill. Add notes for the organizer if you want.
3

Accept the waiver

Volunteers sign the same event waiver as racers.
4

Confirm

You’ll see a success page with the shift details and an option to download a calendar invite.

Rewards

Many volunteer efforts include a reward — a percent or dollar discount on a future registration with that organizer. The discount code is emailed to you after the organizer confirms your completed shift. The reward (if any) is shown on each volunteer effort card before you sign up.

Cancelling

The confirmation email contains a single-use cancellation link if you can’t make it. Use it early so the organizer can fill the spot.

Race day

Show up at the time and location the organizer gave you. They may scan a QR code or check you in by name. Once your shift is marked complete, your reward (if any) is issued.
