Event → Imports is the event-scoped version of Bulk imports. It supports the same upload → map → preview → commit flow, but everything you commit lands on this event.

What you can import here

  • Registrations — add participants to one or more races. Maps race and category, plate/bib, plus rider details: name, email, phone, address, birthday, gender, and license / USAC number (the issuer defaults to USAC when the file doesn’t say). Messy columns are tidied up for you — a gender column of “M”, “Male”, or “Guy” all land on the same value. Anything Time2Bike can’t make sense of is skipped rather than stored wrong.
  • Results — load finish times, placements, and categories from a CSV or results PDF.
When a row matches a rider already in your organization, the import fills in any details that rider was missing (birthday, address, license, gender, contact) without overwriting what’s already there. If you want to add people to your overall contacts list (not tied to an event), use the org-level Imports page instead.

Picking races & categories

When importing registrations, the column-mapping step maps the source’s race (or category) column onto Time2Bike races. If your CSV only has one race in it, you can choose the destination race manually instead. Any race names in your file that don’t exist yet are listed on the preview screen. Rather than resolving them one by one, use the bulk bar:
  • Create all as new races — one click turns every unknown race into a new race. Pick how the category is set for all of them: use each race’s own category from the file, create a category named after each race, or assign them all to one existing category.
  • Skip all — leave them unresolved (those rows will error).
You can still override any individual race afterwards, and a filter box helps when there are a lot of them — so importing dozens of categories at once is a couple of clicks instead of dozens.

Re-running a results import

Results imports match on plate plus race, so re-uploading a corrected file replaces that rider’s numbers rather than creating a second entry. Fixing a mistake means uploading the file again — you don’t have to clean up first.
